Tim "outstanding" in Melancholia
/Melancholia, a new music, theatre and dance creation from directors Sebastian Nübling and Iwes Thuwis, has opened to much acclaim at the Theater Basel. The piece places the energetic movement of an ensemble from the Junges Theater Basel alongside the stillness of songs by baroque masters including Dowland and Monteverdi, directed from the harpsichord by Andrea Marcon. Tim has created the central character of a man stuck in a moment of contemplation, through which the audience experiences his various preoccupations and those of the younger people who occupy the world around him.
Tim has been widely praised for his contribution to the work:
"The guest countertenor Tim Mead sings outstandingly with his heartfelt, highly dynamic voice."
