LNM Purcell Sessions #2

The latest episode of the Purcell Sessions with La Nuova Musica features an extract from one the less familiar Welcome Songs, Fly, Bold Rebellion, Z.324. “Be welcome then, great sir” is an uplifting piece that uses the strings of La Nuova Musica in a triumphant closing ritornello, so typical in Purcell’s music.

Tim takes a break from the Purcell Sessions for the next 2 episodes, handing singing responsibilities to the excellent tenor (and film director for the series) Andy Staples.
