SACROPROFANO released

Today, Tim’s new solo album SACROPROFANO is released on the Alpha Classics label! Alongside his long-term collaborators, Jonathan Cohen and Arcangelo, Tim has made an all-Vivaldi album that juxtaposes the sacred and secular elements of the composer’s work for solo voice. The programme explores the earthly passion of the divine and the heavenly beauty of love. Hearing them side by side, the singular approach of the composer reveals these two worlds to be closely entwined, in music that is both astonishing and virtuosic.

The album was long-delayed, following the complications of the pandemic, but was finally recorded in the summer of 2021. This recording was only made possible thanks to many generous donors, coming together through our fundraising campaign. Tim and all the musicians are extremely grateful to have so many individual supporters.

Tim and Arcangelo return to the studio this March to record one of Handel’s greatest works - Theodora. It has long been a dream for Tim to record one of his favourite works and this promises to be an extraordinary disc.
